چکیده

We review some work done by us calculating matrix elements for Kaons. Emphasis is put on the matrix elements which are relevant to predict nonleptonic Kaon CP violating observables. In particular, we recall our results for the B̂K parameter which governs the K0 − K0 mixing and update our results for εK including estimated all-higher-order CHPT corrections and the new results from recent analytical calculations of the ∆I = 3/2 component. Some comments on future prospects on calculating matrix elements for Kaons are also added. September 2003 Work supported in part by NFR, Sweden, by MCYT, Spain (Grants No. FPA2000-1558 and HF2001-0116), by Junta de Andalućıa, (Grant No. FQM-101), and by the European Union RTN Contract No. HPRN-CT-2002-00311 (EURIDICE). Invited talk given by J.P. at “X International Conference on Quantum Chromodynamics (QCD ’03)”, 2-9 July 2003, Montpellier, France.

The ∆i = 1/2 Rule and Ε ′ /ε

The ∆I = 1/2 rule and direct CP violation ε ′ /ε in kaon decays are studied within the framework of the effective Hamiltonian approach in conjunction with generalized factorization for hadronic matrix elements. Conventionally the K → ππ matrix elements are evaluated under the factorization assumption so that O(µ) is factorized into the product of two matrix elements of single currents, governed...

Prospects for Measurements of Cp Violation at Hadron Colliders

In the Standard Model, CP violation (CPV) arises from the clash of the Yukawa couplings with the charged current interaction. When the Lagrangian is written in the physical (mass) basis, this shows up as an irremovable phase in the CKM 1 quark mixing matrix. The magnitudes of most CKM matrix elements are constrained experimentally , and exhibit an hierarchy, with the magnitudes getting smaller ...

Predictions based on the chirally normalized vector meson dominance model for decay rates and distributions of τ decays into Kππντ final states are discussed. Disagreements with experimental results can be traced back to the K1 widths. Hadronic τ decays into final states with kaons can provide detailed information about low energy hadron physics in the strange sector. Predictions for final stat...

Tau Decays into Kaons Typeset Using Revt E X

Predictions for semi-leptonic decay rates of the lepton into two meson nal K ? ? + ; ? K 0 0 are derived. The hadronic matrix elements are expressed in terms of form factors, which can be predicted by chiral Lagrangians supplemented by informations about all possible low-lying resonances in the diierent channels. Isospin symmetry relations among the diierent nal states are carefully taken into ...

Hadronic Two-body Charmless B Decays

In the absence of first-principles calculations for hadronic matrix elements, it is customary to evaluate the matrix elements under the factorization hypothesis so that 〈O(μ)〉 is factorized into the product of two matrix elements of single currents, governed by decay constants and form factors. However, the naive factorized amplitude is not renormalization scaleand γ5 schemeindependent as the s...
